Got my Yamaha PSR-3000 last night. Tried listening and experimenting with a few styles and fell asleep. The sounds are too thin for my taste but the intro and sections of the styles are well composed and will save me a lots of time in arranging songs. The color screen is cool and features internet connectivity via USB-LAN or USB-Wireless LAN convertor.
Will hook it up with Motif ES via MIDI and check the styles again tonight.

Got hold of Malik Nasar and recorded some vocals at my sound proof room with my new recording equipment. The recording was done at 24 bit using AT-3035 Mic, Yamaha i88x pre-amp and a firewire/mLan connected laptop.
The sample here is in crude form with simple reverb, more processed version will follow shortly.

Finally managed to visit my friend Irfan Rana and got a chance to test my Yamaha i88x mLan interface and the Audio Technica AT3035 mic. We made a short recording of an old song by RD Burman without any practice on my laptop.
The mp3 of the recording can downloaded below.
