Finally managed to visit my friend Irfan Rana and got a chance to test my Yamaha i88x mLan interface and the Audio Technica AT3035 mic. We made a short recording of an old song by RD Burman without any practice on my laptop.

Received my Audio Technica AT-3035 microphone. Can’t wait to record and test thick vocals of my friend Malik Nasar. Will be posting some audio samples in January 2006.

The Nusrat video clips have been made available for download too. Previously they could be played online only.
These clips are in WMV (Windows Media) format as well as standard MPEG-1 format, for Linux and OSX users.

I have been giving free courtesy @talha.com email accounts for the last couple of years. The new account creation process has been put on hold for last few months as I have been running into technical and ethical issues with the account holders.
Issue no.1 — Many users create account for fun & never use it.
Issue no.2 — Most users go to every single junk and spam site and register their @talha.com address on these sites. This results in huge amount of spam mail filling up their mailboxes and I end up paying lots of bandwidth bills, as the spam mail generate lots of incoming traffic.
Issue no.3 — Some users do both no.1 & no.2, and cause their mailboxes to overflow and thus wasting my server’s harddisk space.
Issue no.4 — To monitor and maintain the above issues, I end up wastings hours and hours tracing hundreds of unused @talha.com accounts.
I am working on a policy for new accounts and will post it here shortly. All exsiting accounts will continue working. If your name is also “talha”, and you are in urgent need of talha.com email account, then contact me at webmaster_at_talha_dot_com and I will try my best to accomodate your request.
